Whether you’re a seasoned Woodcraft veteran or a new member eager to contribute, your voice matters!

This interactive session will focus on creative ideas for our celebrations. We’ll explore how to bring together different generations of Woodcrafters, both virtually and in person. Expect discussion on how to honor our past while looking forward to the future, including innovative ways to engage young people and strengthen our community. For 100 years, Woodcraft Folk has woven threads of friendship, learning, and adventure. From the early days of pioneering spirit to the vibrant energy of today, the experiences shared and the connections literally ‘Spanning the World with Friendship’.

Now, connecting our 100 year celebrations across the world, we’re asking you to send us your memories, your artwork, your thoughts on what Woodcraft Folk means to you.  We plan to transform your artwork, photography, poetry, whatever, to postcards to make our international “Wish You Were Woodcraft” touring exhibition as well as an online collection of our stories.

Send us your postcards

Imagine holding a piece of history in your hands – a postcard sent from an international Woodcraft Folk camp, favourite games and activities you play in your district, a golden moment of activism or adventure in your group, vibrant artwork bursting with the colours of your experiences. Do you have snapshots capturing what defines Woodcraft Folk for you?

You can email to marcus.belben@woodcraft.org.uk or print off our postcard template, draw/add your own and post to us:

Your postcard will be one of many online and form a ‘washing line exhibition’, which, through our friendships at Camp 100, will tour the world. We will forwarding postcards and mini-clothes pegs with jute string to create adaptable and exciting exhibitions to share and to add to.

The “Wish You Were Woodcraft” online and touring exhibition will bring together a diverse collection of postcards offering a unique glimpse into what Woodcraft Folk means to its members, past and present. Each postcard tells a story, a personal reflection on the impact of this remarkable organisation.

This unique “washing line” exhibition will make its debut during “Camp 100,” Woodcraft Folk’s landmark centenary camping celebration. Like messages carried on the breeze, these postcards will then travel the world, sharing the spirit of Woodcraft Folk with new audiences!

We invite you to be a part of this special project!

  • Do you have old Woodcraft Folk photos and memories you’d like to include in our exhibition? We would love to hear from you and potentially include them in our archive and exhibition.
  • What does Woodcraft Folk mean to you today? Share your reflections through photographs or artwork that could become part of this touring collection.

“Wish You Were Woodcraft” is more than just an exhibition; it’s a celebration of connection, a testament to the enduring values of Woodcraft Folk, echoing across generations. Add your postcard and share your stories, one postcard at a time.

For more information on how to contribute or the exhibition tour, please visit [II’ll update webpage and please put link here].

Please send your memories to Marcus, marcus.belben@woodcraft.org.uk.  Any questions or exhibition bookings please contact Marcus.  Exhibition will be available from 1st September 2025
